Hear Me Out Discussion Time: Sunday, April 28th- 6:30pm Location: LGBT Center of Raleigh- 411 Hillsborough St. Raleigh Description: Fun time where we discuss lots of topics; Everything from movies and music to religion and sex. Everyone writes topics on a card and we put them in a bowl and pull them out and discuss. May Events: OutRaleigh! Location: Fayetteville St. Downtown Raleigh Date: May 4th Time: We will meet at 11:00- exact spot TBA. Description: Out! Raleigh celebrates North Carolina’s LGBT community, families, friends and supporters in a family-friendly atmosphere. The day-long festival will feature a main stage performance area for regional and local musical groups as well as local dignitaries and speakers. A KidsZone will provide free activities and educational entertainment for young children. All of Fayetteville Street from the State Capitol to City Plaza will be closed for the event, allowing businesses and non-profit organizations to set up vendor spaces to interact with the visiting public. Businesses and restaurants in the surrounding downtown area will be encouraged to welcome and support the festival attendees. The Retreat Date: May 17th-19th Location: Ohio This is our annual trip to Ohio to meet up with other Mpowerment Project groups. We will be driving up there on Friday May 17 and coming back Sunday May 19th. Its a totally awesome trip! The road trip is fun and the Retreat is great. Its relaxing, empowering, and fun. We do team building games. Presenters share their stories about what they've been through and learned about life. Discussion groups and other times of reflection happen.
